Dr. Armando Filomia
Dr. Armando Filomia, a dentistry graduate, is an expert in advanced orthodontic techniques and digital technologies. With over twenty years of experience, he is a Key Opinion Leader for SureSmile and a prominent speaker in courses and masterclasses. As an author, he bridges orthodontic theory and practice, reaching both professionals and young readers.
CURRICULUM
Dr. Armando Filomia graduated in Dentistry and Dental Prosthetics in 2001 from the University of Messina. In 2003, he enhanced his expertise in Catania with Dr. Davide Mirabella, specializing in the Straight Wire MBT Technique.
In 2006, he obtained a Level II Master’s degree in “Pediatric Dentistry” from Sapienza University of Rome.
From 2005 to 2007, he served as a clinical advisor for the interceptive orthodontic technique with Occlus-o-Guide. He is certified in SureSmile, Incognito, Invisalign, Postural Analysis with a stabilometric platform (Chinesport), and the use of nitrous oxide in dentistry (Tecnogaz).
He has been working as a freelance professional since 2001 and provides orthodontic consulting in various practices across Southern Italy.
He is the creator of the Komet kit for stripping and the "Aligner Pontic Paint" App kit. His practice is a reference center for GBT in Calabria and, since 2021, the first CEC center in Italy for SureSmile DentsplySirona, where he serves as a Key Opinion Leader.
He is a speaker at numerous training courses and masterclasses on SureSmile Aligners technology. He has authored two books:
- Aligners: The Handbook of Digital Orthodontics (2023, Falco Publisher)
- Lino Allineo (2024, Falco Publisher), a children’s book.
