Dr. Federico Ferraris
Graduated in Dentistry and Dental Prosthetics from the University of Genoa, he is the founder of Adhesthetics and an active member of leading international academies, including EAED, AIC, IAED, and AARD. He serves as Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of Pennsylvania and as a contract professor of Dental Esthetics at various Italian and international universities. An international lecturer in over 30 countries and author of numerous scientific publications, he practices privately in Alessandria, focusing exclusively on Conservative Dentistry and Prosthodontics.
CURRICULUM
Graduated in Dentistry and Dental Prosthetics from the University of Genoa in 1999, he is the founder of Adhesthetics. He has been an active member of the EAED (European Academy of Esthetic Dentistry) since 2006 and the IAED (Italian Academy of Esthetic Dentistry) since 2011. A member of the AIC (Italian Academy of Conservative Dentistry) since 2007, he served as Vice President from 2016 to 2019 and is currently President for the 2023-2024 term.
He was the European Councilor and member of the SCAD (Society for Color and Appearance in Dentistry) from 2013 to 2016, serving as Secretary in the 2017-2018 term and President for 2022-2023. Since 2010, he has been a member of the Editorial Board of the IJED (International Journal of Esthetic Dentistry), and since 2021, a member of the Editorial Review Board of the JERD (Journal of Esthetic and Restorative Dentistry). He has been a member of the AARD (American Academy of Restorative Dentistry) since 2014 and achieved DSD (Digital Smile Design) Master status in 2013.
Throughout his career, he has held significant positions, including National President of AISO (Italian Association of Dental Students) from 1997 to 1999 and trainer in Dr. Massironi’s Annual Course from 2004 to 2018. He is the author and co-author of numerous scientific publications, including the book “Estetica e precisione. Procedure cliniche e di laboratorio” (Esthetics and Precision: Clinical and Laboratory Procedures) by D. Massironi, R. Pascetta, and G. Romeo, published in 2004. Additionally, he was an active member and founder of the MSC (Massironi Study Club) from 2007 to 2018 and the GICC (Gymnasium Interdisciplinary CAD CAM) from 2007 to 2016.
He is an international lecturer, having presented courses and lectures in over 30 countries worldwide. Academically, he is a contract professor of Dental Esthetics at several Italian and international universities, including the University of Genoa, University of Pisa, University of Insubria in Varese, Alma Mater of Bologna, Dental School of Turin, CEU University San Pablo in Madrid, University of Almeria, Universidad Europea of Madrid, New York University, and the University of Washington in Seattle. Since January 2020, he has held the position of Adjunct Assistant Professor at the Department of Preventive and Restorative Sciences within the Associated Faculty of the School of Dental Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, where he will serve until June 2025.
He has been a member of the IAAD (International Academy of Adhesive Dentistry) since 2013.
He currently practices privately in Alessandria, exclusively focusing on Conservative Dentistry and Prosthodontics.
