Composite restorations are ideal for esthetic rehabilitation in patients with a history of periodontitis.
However, direct veneering has always posed a challenge, and the outcome may compromise periodontal health.
Thanks to the innovative use of Bioclear anatomical matrices, we have developed a simplified and reproducible protocol that improves both esthetics and function without compromising the patient’s periodontal prognosis.
This modified technique is being presented for the first time in Italy during this course, with a clear step-by-step approach for the closure of “black triangles.”
Definition and classification of composites
Opaquers and effects
Composite layering protocol
Direct veneering of anterior teeth
Anatomical matrices
Closure of black triangles and diastemas
Esthetic camouflage in periodontal teeth
Post-orthodontic esthetic finishing
Anatomy of anterior teeth
Composite polishing protocol
Composite texturization protocol
The participants will perform a direct veneering procedure on an anterior model, applying the learned protocol. During the hands-on session, they will have the opportunity to:
Close interproximal spaces
Modify tooth shape
Restore worn incisal edges
Finish and anatomically characterize the restorations
This course is designed for dentists who wish to deepen their knowledge of direct veneering techniques in the anterior region, with a special focus on complex cases such as periodontal patients. It is especially recommended for professionals interested in minimally invasive, reproducible, and esthetic protocols that combine clinical effectiveness with periodontal preservation.
All participants will be provided with the necessary materials for the hands-on session. However, for an optimal hands-on experience, it is recommended to bring your own contra-angle handpieces with blue and red rings.
