Surgical procedures for the treatment of impacted lower third molars are situations frequently encountered in everyday dental practice. Although these are common and routine procedures, they are not free from potential complications.

The aim of the course is to provide current guidelines and the appropriate approach to the most frequent clinical surgical scenarios, presenting for each case the most suitable preoperative evaluations. Special focus will be given to the correct protocol for the surgical management of impacted teeth, including the selection of an appropriate flap design, techniques for tooth extraction based on position and dental anatomy, and the proper execution of surgical sutures.

Participants will also be presented with a comprehensive review of possible complications related to this type of surgery, along with guidelines for effective management.

The course will include both clinical video demonstrations and a hands-on session, where participants will practice on models simulating various clinical scenarios of impacted lower third molars, allowing for a more effective learning of the surgical protocol.
