Surgical Management of Impacted Lower Third Molars: Guidelines, Protocols & Hands-on Training
The surgical extraction of impacted lower third molars is a common procedure in everyday dental practice, yet it is not without risks and potential complications. This comprehensive theoretical and practical course is designed to provide dental professionals with updated clinical guidelines and the correct approach to the most frequent oral surgical situations involving mandibular third molars.
The course will cover:
Essential preoperative assessments for proper diagnosis and treatment planning.
Current surgical protocols, including the appropriate flap design, tips for extraction based on tooth anatomy and position, and precise suturing techniques.
A thorough review of potential complications, with clear guidelines for prevention and clinical management.
Theory and Hands-On Practice:
Participants will view real clinical videos and engage in practical exercises using anatomical models that simulate various clinical scenarios involving impacted third molars, ensuring a solid grasp of surgical procedures in a controlled learning environment.
Objective: to equip dentists with the clinical and procedural confidence to safely and effectively perform surgical extractions of impacted lower wisdom teeth, minimizing complications and improving outcomes.

Komet Academy reserves the right to reschedule the course in case of organizational, logistical or security changes. If the scheduled course cannot take place as planned, the training activity will be rescheduled and participants will be notified of the new date with at least 15 days' notice.
If the new date is incompatible with the participant's documented pre-existing commitments, the fee paid will be refunded in full. Please note that it will not be possible to reimburse travel or accommodation expenses. Serving as a Contract Professor and Head of Surgery and Implantology at the Istituto Stomatologico Italiano, he has authored over 130 scientific publications and has been a speaker at more than 250 national and international congresses. He has held prestigious academic roles, including Visiting Professor at Universidad Católica de Murcia and Adjunct Professor at the LUdeS Foundation in Malta.
