Prof. Antonio Cerutti

Professor of Oral Diseases and Head of Restorative and Reconstructive Dentistry at the University of Brescia, Prof. Antonio Cerutti is Director of the Level II Master’s Degree Programme in Digital Dentistry. Author of 200 scientific publications and a lecturer at numerous national and international congresses, his clinical practice is limited to Restorative Dentistry and Endodontics.

 

Prof. Antonio Cerutti graduated in Medicine and Surgery and specialised in Dentistry. He has been Professor of Oral Diseases since 2000 and is responsible for teaching Restorative and Reconstructive Dentistry within the Degree Programme in Dentistry and Dental Prosthetics and the Degree Programme in Dental Hygiene at the University of Brescia. He is Director of the Level II Master’s Degree Programme in Digital Dentistry at the University of Brescia, now in its fourth edition.

He served as President of the Italian Academy of Esthetic Dentistry (IAED) from 2017 to 2018 and is a founding member and member of its Board of Directors. He is also a founding member of the European Academy of Digital Dentistry (EADD) and of the Italian Society of Prosthodontics and Oral Rehabilitation (SIPRO).

He chairs the Scientific Committee of the Italian Society of Prosthodontics and Oral Rehabilitation (SIPRO). He is an active member of the Italian Society of Endodontics (SIE), where he previously served on the Active Membership Admissions Committee, and an active member and member of the Board of Directors of the Italian Society of Conservative Dentistry (SIDOC). From 2009 to 2011, he served as Editor-in-Chief of the Italian Journal of Endodontics.

He received the Italian Society of Endodontics’ “Garberoglio” Research Award on three occasions, in 1996, 2000 and 2007, and the Italian Society of Conservative Dentistry’s “Pietro De Fazio” Research Award twice, in 2007 and 2015.

Prof. Cerutti is a member of the editorial boards of national and international journals, including the European Journal of Esthetic Dentistry and the Italian Journal of Endodontics. He also serves as a reviewer for several national and international journals, including the Journal of Adhesive Dentistry, Quintessence International, Minerva Stomatologica, the International Journal of Esthetic Dentistry and the Italian Journal of Endodontics.

He has lectured at numerous national and international congresses, hands-on courses, masterclasses and theoretical and practical courses in Restorative Dentistry and Endodontics. He is the author of 200 scientific publications in these fields and co-author of the multimedia textbook “Adhesive Esthetic Dentistry – Multimedia Learning”, published by Quintessence International and translated into English, German, Russian and Chinese, as well as the monograph “Indirect Partial Adhesive Esthetic Restorations in Posterior Teeth”, published by UTET Scienze Mediche.

He has also contributed chapters to several textbooks, including “Restorative Dentistry – Treatment Procedures and Future Perspectives”, published by the Italian Academy of Conservative Dentistry (AIC); “Advances in Dentistry – Indirect Adhesive Esthetic Restorations in Posterior Teeth”, published by UTET Scienze Mediche; and “Prosthetic Dentistry – Fundamental Principles”, published by Edizioni Ermes.

He translated L.N. Baratieri’s textbook “Composite Restorations in Anterior Teeth”, published by Quintessenza Edizioni, and co-translated the eighth edition of “Pathways of the Pulp” by Cohen and Burns, published by Delfino Editore in Rome in 2007.

His clinical practice is limited to Restorative Dentistry and Endodontics.
