The theoretical and hands-on course "Lower Impacted Third Molar Surgery: Simplifying a Challenging Procedure", led by Dr. Andrea Enrico Borgonovo, provides comprehensive training in the surgical management of impacted lower third molars, focusing on modern surgical protocols and strategies to prevent and manage complications.
Participants will explore clinical, radiographic and anatomical assessment, treatment planning, surgical instrumentation, pharmacological protocols and every stage of the extraction procedure, from flap design to suturing. The programme also includes clinical case discussions, surgical videos and practical exercises on simulation models, comparing conventional rotary instrumentation with sonic surgery techniques.
The course is designed to provide clinicians with predictable, evidence-based protocols that can be immediately integrated into daily oral surgery practice.
