The "Endodontic Retreatment" hands-on course, led by Dr. Carlo Gaeta, focuses on contemporary retreatment strategies for previously treated teeth, combining evidence-based protocols with practical clinical training.
Participants will learn how to diagnose post-treatment disease using CBCT, safely remove posts and root filling materials, reshape previously treated canals, perform customized irrigation protocols and obturate canals using gutta-percha and modern bioceramic materials. Special attention will be given to the management of complex clinical situations, including internal and external resorptions, open apices and perforations through the use of calcium silicate-based biomaterials.
Hands-on exercises will allow participants to develop predictable retreatment protocols that can be immediately incorporated into daily clinical practice.

This course is designed for dentists with experience in everyday endodontic practice who wish to further develop their skills in the management of complex endodontic cases.
For the hands-on session, each participant is required to bring:
- One or two teeth with an opened pulp chamber
- Fibrin sponges (e.g. Spongostan)
- Pluggers in various sizes for compaction
- Microbrushes
- Magnification loupes (optional)
